I ran through a mock reservation to see how it worked.

The good: Train status form on home page.
Links to descriptions of rooms and amenities alongside fare quotes. Shows fare for each leg of trip.

The bad: Cluttered interface. Orange buttons and blue background clash, and, to make it worse, there are two slightly different shades of each color! Must visit a different page to add accommodations to each leg, where before it was all done on one page. Link to add accommodation is not obvious. Grand total of fare not shown until later pages.

Overall, the bad outweighs the good. And there's still no way to request a lower level room if you want one.
