I put a friend on train 14 a few hours ago. It was a little more than three hours late into Salinas, arriving here at 9:45pm. I was following it throughout the day, and it was 2 hours late out of the gate at LA. Anybody know why?
It was further delayed somewhere in the vicinity of Paso Robles when it got stuck behind a disabled freight train.
But my friend didn't mind too much. It was her first train trip since 1979, and she was very excited.
