I was on the 8:05 a.m. Marc train from Washington to Camden Station in BAltimore. I noticed a Superliner trainset in the car yard. In Washington, normally the inbound CHI-WAS Capitol Limited would immediately turn as the outbound evening WAS-CHI train. With the recent schedule changes for the Capitol Limited, does this train now have a third trainset for layover in Washington DC between runs?

I'm pretty sure it always has too,3 hours isnt enough turn around time for the CAP.

Last november, i rode it west, and in between my train from Richmond and going out on the Cap, I went out to the New NY avenue Metro Station, which is a very good spot to watch trains from, and I saw them Backing the Consist of that day's # 30, into the yard shops, when I got to my train, the consist was completely different.

Also, I have ridden # 30 in the past, and had it been very late and we even passed # 29 just outside of Washington Union Station.

In short, they do not do a turn around, the one consist will sit overnight in the amtrak yards and go out the next day as train 29.
