I am just curious; does anyone know of a means of public ground transportation that one can take from Edmonton back to the States in Montana or further east, where one can then pick up the Empire Builder? Or is there a way to get from Calgary down to Grand Forks or Minneapolis on public ground transportation? By ground transportation, I suppose I mean a long-distance bus, but I haven't found anything at the Greyhound site--of course, that site is very hard to work with, because you have to know both the start and end point to get anywhere, and I could not find a map of their whole bus system.

The North American long distance bus map is available here:

Calgary (why Calgary) to Grand Forks, once a day about 30 hours.

Sorry, I didn't mean Calgary, I meant Winnepeg!

There used to be a bus that ran once a day each way. It is about a 4 hour trip. I last took it about 2 yrs ago.
