E.L. rally backs Amtrak Save Our Trains Michigan seeks more funds for local routes
By Hugh Leach Lansing State Journal
EAST LANSING - The hazardous road conditions Saturday morning added one more reason to Matt Marderosian's list of why rail passenger service needs to be saved.
"Train are more reliable," said the director of Save Our Trains Michigan at a rally at the East Lansing Amtrak station. "The weather doesn't affect the railroads like it does the highways."

The State News
On Saturday morning, the train from the Blue Water line slowly pulled into the East Lansing Amtrak station, 1240 S. Harrison Ave. A crowd of people boarded holding suitcases and backpacks, and with a shrill whistle, the Amtrak headed to the Windy City.
As a Librarian I think I should point out that it is very easy to violate the Copyright Law and print the entire article in a message. Many posters on forums have a tendency to do this, but it is illegal. Please do not do this...give a thumbnail sketch of the article and then the link.
If a Publisher were so inclined, they could sue for damages or send a cease and desist order to Trainweb. We don't want Trainweb to be shut down or tangled in legal red tape! So, just a summary of the article and the link!

A strong SECOND. Mr. Gart (title edited)
Those of you here who visit 'another Forum elsewhere', know my thoughts on the matter.
However, it should be noted that the originator has chosen to edit his pasting of the material to that of a 'brief passage' as permitted under Fair Use provisions of the copyright laws.

By the way Mr. Norman,
it's Mr. Gart...I'm the lone male on a staff of 6 librarians. And I'm glad Mr. Bnsf edited his post, that also is an excellent way to lead to the story link.
