we are scredeled to be on it this friday out of chi. has any one receley toke it do thay have the half food car on it yet?? what is the total consest ?? never been on it . thanks in advance bobgfla.

We took the TX Eagle out from Chicago last September, after Katrina hit. Because of the shortened routes, the Eagle was only running with a dining car, which was set up half diner, half lounge. I believe they put the Sightseer lounge back on. I think the consist is like the Sunset: transition sleeper (with space sold to passengers), diner, lounge, 2 coaches, 1 additional through coach to LA, 1 through sleeper to LA.
