Ok... does Amtrak ever give tours? Anyway to get a peek in the engine, at the diner lower level, or at the Beech Grove plant?

I've never tried the engine or Beech Grove... but got rejected SEVERAL times to get a peek at the lower level of the diner car.

The cab is sometimes accessible if you get the right crew, but it's definitely against policy, and the crew is careful about it.
I once walked downstairs in the diner looking for a restroom (yeah, it was one of my first trips), and was promptly escorted out.
And Beech Grove? Chris G, have you been there? I've seen some articles in Trains magazine about it, but not sure what you need to do to get in...
