I've started a new discussion group on yahoo and one of the things i'm looking for is photos of the old Montrealer when it still had sleepers and the Le Pub car! Anyone interested in New England railroading past and present is welcomed to join my new group as well!

I rummage through book collections of the NHRR and love to hear stories about the old ski trains. I've taken the loop to Montreal via the Montrealer from Penn Station and pick up the Vermonter from St Albans. With gas settling at $2.60 a gallon and the highways always awful. Connecticut is looking into expanding Shore line service, possibly linking to Providence RI and improving (or better) replacing Amtraks New Haven to Springfield MA routes with a commuter line.
