Service Alert: Coast Starlight Trains 11 and 14 - Motorcoach Service between Portland and Seattle

On Sunday, June 25 and Monday, June 26, track work being performed by BNSF Railway will affect Coast Starlight Trains 11 and 14, which operate between Los Angeles and Seattle.

As shown below, motorcoach service will be provided between Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia-Lacey, Centralia, Kelso-Longview, Vancouver and Portland.

On June 25, passengers traveling northbound on Train 14 (which originates in Los Angeles on June 24) will be provided motorcoach service between Portland and Seattle and intermediate points.

On June 26, passengers traveling southbound on Train 11 will be provided motorcoach service between Seattle and Portland and intermediate points. Passengers continuing south may board the train in Portland to their destination.

Passenger Service Notice - Trains 500, 501, 506, 507, 508, and 509 - June 26 .

On Monday, June 26 there will be a 10-hour closure of the Nelson Bennett Tunnel near Tacoma, due to track work. During the tunnel closure, Train 500 will terminate at Portland and Trains 501 and 506 will not be in operation. Train 507 will not operate between Seattle and Portland, but will operate between Portland and Eugene. Motorcoach service will be operated in place of all suspended trains between Seattle and Portland.

Trains 508 and 509 will be in operation that day, but passengers may experience some delays due to track work and freight congestion.

Passenger Service Notice - Eugene to Portland (Train 504) - June 25 - 29
Due to track work on the Union Pacific Railroad, Train 504 will not be operating between Eugene and Portland. Motorcoach service will be provided to all cities on the route in place of train service.

Passenger Service Notice - Portland to Eugene (Train 509) - June 24 - 28
Due to track work on the Union Pacific Railroad, Train 509 will not be operating between Portland and Eugene. Motorcoach service will be provided to all cities on the route in place of train service.
