What is the Food service on Cardinal from NY City to cinti? Coach or Sleeper ?
best side of train E to W ?

Food service on the Cardinal is "tray meal' which means microwaved. (Simplified Dining is cooked off-site, as in "catered").
The Cardinal offers scenic vistas regardless of side of train, however, the scenic highlight is the New River Gorge which on a WW trip will be on the Fireman side.
As I noted at your other topic thread, which side your accomodation will be on is a "crap shoot".
