I've been watching 92 as DD and I leave 7/23. Yesterday's scheduled arrival in DC at 11:53 am happened as 12:13 am today. What happened?

Also, if this happens to us, do you think I would be able to change our continuing tickets by 1 day as we are taking the train so we have a bit of time on Mon afternoon, Tues early (before 29 departs) to see SI. If this type delay happens it will kill our plans & the extra money we spent to do this will have been for naught(except for the fun of the rails)

TIA

This is just a supposition.Union Station was evacuated and totally closed for many hours yesterday because of a suspicious package. It may be that 92 was late to begin with and then hit the closure. All trains were stopped,Amtrak, and the Va. and Md commuters. They said rail traffic as far north as Boston was affected but I didn't catch how far south it went/
