Thanks, David. I so much enjoyed your report. Sorry to hear about the power outlet problem which caused a difficult time with Marty. But I, also, would want to stay in the refurbished sleeper.

David, loved the report. I will be on this train in three weeks. Please, please, please let there be a Parlour Car!
I have been monitoring the timeliness of #14 for the past month. The usual arrival at SEA is between 1 and 4 am. They have just moved the scheduled arrival time back to 8:45 pm (they had moved it to 11:30 pm for a while) but the actual arrival times have not changed.
But, I am still looking forward to my trip and really learned a lot from your excellent report.

Thanks for the terrific report. This February I will be traveling with a friend on the Coast Starlight. We are doing the Empire Builder--Southwest Chief and back to Portland on the Starlight. Wonderful pictures.
