Just one night. Airport -> Hotel ---> Day to kill in Atlanta ------> Amtrak station, Crescent for dinner on departure for WAS.

Lot's of hotel options in Atlanta. Try searching Expedia for one near MARTA.
If you want something unique though, the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel downtown is a true high rise......73 stories tall. Rooms start at about $150.00 per night weekends and go up from there.
For a 'deal' you can do better......for something unique you might not.
