I am traveling to Kissimmee from Boston on the Meteor 97 May 31 and back on the Star 92 June 6. I usually get a roomette for my own personal travel but because this trip was paid for by the company I was only able to get coach.
How occupied are these two trains at this time of the year? Good chance of getting two coach seats to myself? Or even better - a possible onboard upgrade?

I'll be going up from Palatka to Albany on 5/19 (98/233) and back down 10 days before you on 5/21(256/97), so I'll let you know.
Money's tight down on the farm, so I'll be riding coach. Have to be in Great barrington, MA on 5/20 for an "event."

I suspect if you are traveling alone you will have the seat to yourself for most if not all the trip, but you never know.
I just checked the Amtrak website, and on June 6, the sleeper on the Silver Star from NYC to Kissimmee is $185. That is about the lowest I've ever seen a sleeper lately on the Silver Service, so you might want to consider getting it now. You can put your feet up!
