Man, I wish Amtrak didn't take six weeks to get their monthly performance reports out.

Anyway, June's report is finally out and, naturally, ridership was up across the board except for the CZ (due to Midwest flooding) and the Acela (due to replacement of the Thames River bridge). Amtrak posted its highest-grossing month ever in terms of ticket revenue. Notables include the Downeaster and Hiawatha corridors, both up more than 40% over last year. The Coast Starlight, Silver Star and Sunset Limited were the shining long-distance routes, all up more than 25% over last year.

On-time performance, unfortunately, dropped substantially to 63.6% systemwide. Hiawatha and Keystone corridors were the only corridors achieving 80% or better OTP. Many corridors slipped under 70%, and the vast majority of the long-distance routes fell under 60% with some ridiculously bad ones standing out - Cardinal (12%), Palmetto (10%), Texas Eagle (a whopping 2%).
