Yes, that's the name for the newly proposed Dallas - Shreveport - New Orleans - Orlando train, which would connect in Dallas to the Sunset Limited for Los Angeles via Abilene and El Paso.
NOL-HOS-SAS-ELP would no longer be connected by rail, but the Heartland Flyer would be extended past Ft.Worth to DAL and HOS using the old TE trackage.
Any thoughts on this latest proposal? It would be nice for Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Abilene and, presumably, Midland/Odessa to be added to the Amtrak network as these are all nice sized cities....especially BTR and SHV. On the down side, the cities of Lafayette, Lake Charles, and Beaumont (and the smaller towns of Schreiver and New Iberia)would no longer see Amtrak service.

Here's one quick thought: offer at least two departures each direction every day. No more "once-per-day-each-way" trains. We've had those for almost four decades, and that has not done anything to improve passenger service.

After looking at it futher, I see that this is an idea proposed by the folks at PJT (Passenger Train Journal). Interesting idea, however. Some of the old KCS "Southern Belle" service would be restored.

In this plan does the TE terminate in SAS?
I always said a Gulf Wind train NOL-ORL should extend to Dallas then up to Denver.
