I guess even the sincerest of intentions can "back-fire" !!
First and foremost I want to apologize both to Chris and all forum participants.
The computer glitch (multiple entries) dismayed me. I do not know how that happened. Thanks to the moderator for fixing my blunder.
Next, I want to assure everyone that I KNEW Chris's Look-out was in LaPlata, MO---I honestly did. Another blunder on my part.
In retro-spect, I am totally embarassed by my recent post. I do not know what I was thinking.
As a self-imposed punishment, I have decided never to post on this site again. I will still frequent the site , of course---since it IS my favorite. But I simply can not post anymore.
Good-bye and good-luck to all.
Sincerely:
TALKrr

As you've apologised, why leave? Unless your posts have been edited before I saw them I don't see anything that bad. One or two people here are far more opinionated to the point of bullying and they make mistakes all the time, but nobody seems to care. I certainly don't remember you falling into that category.

My reply is on the other talkrr post. Go figure!!

TALKrr Please reconsider; your contribution and input on this forum have always been valued and is part of what makes this forum what it is. Because of personal matters I was not able to access the boards until late in the day, otherwise your double post would have been taken care of much sooner, and, I take full responsibility for not correcting that problem when it first occurred. As for glitches and typo's I think I hold the world's record. Your suggestion about the name change was a valid one. They had to make it that long to get all of the pertinent information in, but, it is affectionately referred to as "The Lookout" by the locals.

Train Lady, our replies are just three minutes apart and when I opened both threads there were no replies - you were obviously quicker at typing than I was!

either that or our computers are in a competition with each other. Mine is completely off the wall

Self imposed exiles never work, trust me I know. Eventually, everybody comes back to Railforum. It's just too nice of a little family here.

One of the nice features of RAILforum is that you can edit or delete your own posts. When you are logged in, just click on the icon above your message that looks like a pencil and paper, and you can change or delete the message.

There is no reason for you to leave. To quote a song.
"Everybody makes mistakes, nobody's prefect!".
Still here and continue to post and if you post twice just delete it. No problems. We all enjoy having you here!

I think leaving is rather extreme. Everyone supports your continuing participation. I don't even think you have to eat your hat.

To the OP, I second the moderator. This board will be a poorer place minus your input.
To Chris G. - Sorry to see you had a bad adventure on #3. No water in the diner on departure, engine failure in the wilderness..... I'm saddened to hear that even one of the better trains in the system isn't immune to such misfortune.
