I had a question from friends who will be taking the Surfliner from Anaheim to San Diego to board a cruise on 11/30/09. The Amtrak website gives "Checked Baggage Hours" but below that it says "No help with Baggage". What does that mean?
They are an older couple (well, older than me) and travel with lots of stuff. We helped them onto the train in SAN last April but it seems to me that their son had to help them get their bags off in Anaheim.
Thanks in advance.

Not all trains have checked baggage. Southbound 768, 572, 774 and 796 does and 763, 565, 775, 583, 785, 587 and 589 does northbound. Hope this helps!

It's been years since I took 3/4 and a Surfliner to take son to Disneyland, but I don't remember seeing any attendants at all...

Thanks for your help. I'll forward this information to my friends.

Apparently ANA has changed a lot. I didn't know that there is a manned station there.

Anaheim has always been a full time station since it was built with all services provided for passengers. It is like that because Anaheim Stadium, Honda Center, Disneyland and the like.

I've never gotten off the train there. Where is the actual station? It's always looked as if there was just a platform there.

The station is located below the grade on the south side of the railroad. It is located in the north end of the Anaheim Stadium parking lot. this station was built with the roof was put on upside down.
