While reading a biography on Jimmy Stewart a statement was made that in the early 50's TV westerns were made in the New York studios. The author went on to relate that if they needed to film a horse stampeded it was done on the roof of Grand Central Station. Does anyone know if this is true?

cubzo. I spent a little time looking up facts on ASK. So far I have found that the very early ones were done in the studio. In the 1930' they spread out to "desolate corners of Arizona,Cal,Co,KS,Montana,Nev,New Mexico Okla, Texas, utah and Wyo." No mention of New York
