Hello from California Zephyr Eastbound Train No. 6!

I am writing this from Sacramento where we have a special train today.It's been a LONG time since I've posted here. There are four Amtrak LL cars on the back of this train for President Joe Boardman. I'm in Car 32 and these are the four cars on the back. Boardman was in SAC yesterday for this:

It's unclear why they needed 4 LL cars if it's only him or if there are several members in his party.

The cars are supposedly being detached in DEN.

Well Anton, welcome back. I guess Boardman has started his "victory laps". Anyone think he'd travel in line space the way Reistrup, Claytor, and Gunn did?

I would love to ask him if the West Coast will ever get any new cars! The Superliner II Sleeper I am in has had VERY LITTLE work done on it and I don't think will be usable in 5 years without a full refurb as the 31 Car has.

It's such a shame that so many people's first impression of Amtrak can be such old equipment like this.
