One of my Amtrak pet peeves... when they put trains into "service disruptions". An example is 6(17) which left Emeryville, CA about 5 hours late due to a very late incoming 5(14).
They put 6(17) into "service disruption" right from the gate.
Why???
This prevents it from being shown on status trackers across the country and just forces everyone to call Amtrak (with 2 hour wait times on the phone) for train statuses.
Just keep the train out of "service disruption" unless its actually cancelled.
