Our family was told that my great-grandparents died in a train wreck in somewhere between the years 1888 to 1900. I love family history, and want to find out if it is true. They lived in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, Kentucky. They could have been traveling in state, or visiting relatives in Missouri, Illinois or, less likely, Indiana. I would be grateful for some advise to research this. About 20 years ago I lived near Northern Ariz Univ. I logged many hours reading newspapers from that era, from all over the country. Never found a train wreck for that time. Could someone give me some advise of where to go to find that information. Thanks, Jeanne Viers Lee

To be perfectly honest, there were so many train wrecks in that timeframe that newspapers didn't bother to mention them unless they were disasterous!
