One of the last thread that was started on the railroad.nets New Jersey forum was that New Jersey Transit is planning to use bilevel cars on the Raritan Valley line.
From what I understand, these cars are either under design or are currently under construction.

Does anyone out ther have any additional information on this?

Well, www.njtransit.com claims that no bilevels will show up until 2004...and given the fact that what the RVL just received were Comet II rebuilds (that is, apart from the cab cars), I'd be under the impression that new equipment would not go straight to the RVL right away, but rather be used to alleviate NEC congestion at first. Just an observation...

Would be nice to see bilevels in the old CNJ terminal at LSP, though...
