I have a question about the Algoma Central. I realize they were bought by WC then incorporated by CN. I am interested to see if there is any Algoma Central left? Motive power, rolling stock, miles in track coverage, infrodtructure. I am interested in any information.

Thanks,
Matt

From what I've been reading on the CPTDB rail forum , Wisconsin Central bought AC in 1995 and CN bought WC in 2001. Not only did WC repaint and renumber every AC locomotive, but when CN took over, they started using their own units. It is probably a rare sight to see an original AC locomotive in the current Algoma Central stock.
