For anyone who has enjoyed the E&N passenger run on Vancouver Island (aka VIA's Malahat), the historic Nanaimo train station suffered severe fire damage this morning.  -

That's sad. It looks like a nice station too. Was it staffed prior to the fire? Are their plans for its repair?

Future of the building is still up in the air, but I've heard the ICF will restore the building, despite how it looks, the building was not damaged beyond repair.
