Hi friends. I'm trying to write an article on Freeman Hubbard, editor of Railroad Magazine for 37 years and author of the classic Railroad Avenue, as an important but forgotten pioneer of the modern railfan/railroad preservation community. Trouble is, aside from autobiographical pieces he wrote--including the three part heritage essay in Railfan--info and sources on the man have turned out to be impossible to locate so far. Carstens had no idea or leads, but Hal himself was gracious. Any help or advice? You'll be cited in the article if I pull it off. Thanks Tom
