Back in October of 1999, speculation ran rampant about a possible NS/BNSF merger when a
BNSF Special toured much of the former Conrail system. In actuality the train was chartered
by TTX Corporation, using BNSF cars (mostly Budd stainless steel cars) and hauled by some of
Norfolk Southern's newer road power. It ran from Chicago to New Jersey and back. It was captured
as it passed through Emmaus on the return trip. I have a going away shot also, and when I find it
