"Employees must not discriminate among railroad customers. Employees must not accept gifts or rewards from customers, suppliers, or contractors of the railroad."
This broad, sweeping statement would appear to prohibit ALL railroad employees from receiving gratuities, including car, diner, and lounge attendants on Amtrak! Could it be, that the rules are technically broken thousands of times a day this way? Or is there some provision that exempts the logical practice of tipping?
