My friend is looking for information regarding a Buda gas engine. He was told they were used to move rail cars . the engine was stationary and was a 4 cyl.,mounted on the rail.

Edwards Motor Car Co of North Carolina used 6 cyl Buda engines in Doodlebugs. Fort Madison Farmington and Western RR http://www.minermfgco.com/minerville/railroad.htm has two of them, only one of which is restored, but without the original engines. A Chevy engine was used instead in a converted traction truck. This same site also built the Dora Doodlebug out of an electric rail car. http://www.doradoodlebug.com/
