the Amtrak topis on unmanned stations has suddenly become too wide to read for those of us who use low-res. Can in be fixed like other topics so that I don't have to scroll from side to side to read postings?

I will place a wager that it is the long URL that threw it out of proportion.

I use http://makeashorterlink.com/ when I have a link that is long.

I agree with Whistler that it was the long URL that caused that to happen.
