Can you please identify the model of this Burlington Northern Locomotive. I would also like to know when and were it was (or is) in service. It seems to be one of the "E" series of engines. If it is of any assistance, the road number is 980. Thank you.

Looks to be a Fairbanks Morse C-Liner to me. I'm pretty sure BN never had any and I'm 99% certain none were ever in that scheme.

My guess is that is an old AHM model.
