Is there anyone out there intreested in operations on there layout? Had an idea and wondered if anyone would be interested in trying to run a RR over the net using several different layouts in differents places to represent a long haul regional RR. Run monthly or weekly on a timetable with appropriate industry pick up and set outs crew changes, etc.
Example: RR ABC Pacific has Steel Plant. Needs Coal Coke and Iron. RR XYZ Western has Auto Plant and Iron Mines. RR DEF Southern has coke and needs Autos. These three RR's get together and come up with and op's schedule to interchange traffic(with on or off layout staging) and so on. Sound like fun? It would make you feel like you're part of a large RR operation even if yours is only 4x8'.Any size layout would work, and it could be freelanced or prototype. Let me know if your interested.

Sounds like a great idea to me...of course the CSW is out of commission for the time being, but by mid-September I should be ready to "play!!" Happy Modeling!!
