Does anyone know a good way to duplicate weeds between crossties?

I use Woodland Scenics coarse ground cover, glued down with white glue/water (50/50). You may also want to find some Woodland Scenics field grass. I drill a small hole in-between the cross ties, put some glue in the hole and then add the field grass. After it dries I come back with some scissors and trim it and make it look good.

When I was modeling in HOn3, i used dried Artichoke flowers [green/yellow ones] as tall grasses. these can be found in craft stores in the dried flowers section.
This is flexable enough engines/cars can run over the tops without derails.
Just cut small bunches off, and plant them in a pre-drilled hole that has been pre-filled with carpentry glue.
Have fun planting weeds, On my RR. I have to pull the weeds and plant trees/shrubs. hehe
