I have several older models of Mikes (Italian made?) and I like this type of both freight and passenger engine. The models are running very well, but I think many details are missing or made wrong. I would like to check this with the prototype - if possible. Who knows Mikado engines which are still complete and can be inspected?

There are several prototype Mikados still operating, but I don't see how looking at these will help you unless your models are of that particular prototype, which I doubt. The Rivarossi Mikados are models of USRA light and heavy Mikados, while the three prototypes that immediately come to mind are SP, SOO, and CN.
