Does anyone else do like I do? When there's no model of a certain type of railcar the prototype Santa Fe has but there's a similar car in model form , I just paint or remove the reporting marks and put my fictional marks of P.V.& S.F. instead. They stand for Pauls Valley and Santa Fe, a fictional subsidiary of the home road. I just tell everyone they bought them used from such and such road and painted them in the parent's road scheme. For locos I leave the Santa Fe on the sides but put the initials under the cab windows.

That's the best part about constructing your own layout. It is YOUR layout and you can do with it as you please. I have done some of the same things and applaud your efforts!
