I'm not going to wait for Microsoft to release the specifications for add ons to their new simulation. I figure that if I build a couple of locomotives, I can always use the 3D models by simplifying them down to work in the sim. Also, scenery is probably not going to be much different than the current mesh topography in MS flight Simulator.

Here's the question. I will build a Southern Pacific loco although I gave some thought to a USRA 2-8-0. The question is which one. I'd love to build a Twelve Wheeler, 4-8-0 and some of them lasted into the late 40's. However, I think that a Consolidation of one of the larger classes, C-5 for example, would have appeal, especially if it had a choice of tenders, Vandey or standard.

Any ideas from modelers?

Woodman,
I'm not familiar with the program your talking about, what does it do? It sounds intriguing. Please pass on a little more info
Thanks,
Scott

I have read the preview of this in Model Railroader. I am afraid if I get this program, I will never get my layout done and may never get trackside again.

I think I would go with the larger loco. You could do ao lot more with it IMO. Hey how about a Y6b or a J? ....Mike
