I have been working on my new N-scale railroad, the Moss and Magnolia Railroad. Soon, I will install uncoupling magnets. I have not had much experience with uncoupling magnets so I am not sure exactly where to place them.

I have a map of my railroad showing my proposed locations for magnets at
http://www.geocities.com/evrr/private.html

I would appreciate it if any of you would look at this map and let me know your opinions about the placement of magnets. This website is very small and will load very quickly.

Thank you
Dean

Dean,
If you have a fax number available I would like to make a couple of comments that you might be able to use. I'll draw them on a copy of your layout diagram and fax them to you. My e-mail is millcstl@rmi.net

Dean,
My suggestions:
- Move #1 on the outbound side of the turnout that it is next to right now. Add and uncuopler on the industrial spur to the left of where # 1 is now.
- Move #4 closer to your main engine service/yard ladder.
As I mentioned these are my "suggestions". Not knowing what your operations plan is you may have very good reasons for leaving them exactly where they are. Rule#1---it's your railroad!
Model on,
Scott
