I seem to remember flipping through a Model Railroading magazine a couple years ago and reading about fiber optic wires used for signals and lighting. Does anyone know where I can obtain some reference material on this, or even better yet, where I can buy this type of wire?

Thanks!!!

By the way you spell 'fiber' (we in England say 'fibre'), I would guess you are in America. I cannot help you with a local supplier, but there must be many.

Here in England it is readily available in several diameters, and it is great for using in locomotives for headlights and ditch lights, etc. Also in signals, allowing scale size lenses, even in N scale

I remember right that article was in Model
Railroader twice. Once way bak in the late 60's and as you stated about two years ago.
Try Kalmbach Publication's web site. They have an index that will help you out.
