My Train table is looking good but still has no buildings. Where can I get buildings for cheep???

I guess it depends on what cheap means . You can get pretty inexpensive buildings and building kits from both Bachmann and Life Like industries. Remember, though, you get what you pay for . If you like kits, very nice buildings are available from Design Preservation Models (DPM), for relatively little money (anywhere from seven to twelve bucks). Good luck and Happy Modeling! John

You can watch eBay for some bargins that do come along. Sometimes you will see estate sales go up for auction and they might need a little work but can look quite nice when cleaned up. Check at local swap meets for guys changing scales or era and you can sometimes get a very good deal on some very expensive pieces for dirt cheap.
I also notice that A Plus hobbies has a new program on their new website called "Direct from the Manufacturer". They place a cummalative order once a month with the manufacturerr directly and it is a very good saving. Also they have some Ertl building on their web special page that is real low. I think I saw an Ertl Barn for $12 or $15. http://new.aplushobbies.com/

If you're not overly concerned with absolute realism, you can get some cool HO buildings for less than a dollar each! But there's a catch: they're paper. At the bookstore I bought a book called "cut and assemble a western frontier town" by Edmund V. Gillon, Jr. published by Dover Publications. It contains 10 buildings for $7.00. They look suprisingly credible when assembled, though not entirely realistic. The assembly instructions are not too well done, so you have to think things through ahead of time, but they are fun to put together. Dover also makes other titles, and other publishers offer such things as old european villages, castles and more, all in HO scale.

I just checked Valley Model Trains web site and it is terrific. I have never seen so many O Scale products in one place with as much detail and pictures.
