Does anyone know how you would replace old couplers with Lionel new couplers? I have a pair for 1 car but don't know how to fasten them on...or take the old ones off. Suggestions?

-Thanks

In my experience with Lionel couplers, it is easier to replace the entire truck with the coupler.
However, they coupler only may be replaced, but the old one is usually riveted on to the truck, so you must file off the rivet to get the old one off, and carefully insert the new rivet thru the same hold and use a center punch (or a nail set) to flatted out the rivet. Unfortunately, most of the time the new coupler will not fasten on real tight and may wobble some. In this case, just flatten the rivet a little bit more.
