I hope it is ok to post this here, as I didnt really know where else to look ..

Does anyone know a good place I might look to be able to find pictures of the trains and rail cars operated by the US Air Force that contained the Simulator's for the B-52 and KC-135 ..?

I am looking to build a model of this train and am looking for a little bit of reference ...

One of my other hobbies happens to be building model airplanes. In the book, "The B-52 Stratofortress in Action from Squadron-Signal Publications shows a picture of the car. It appears to be a three unit Articulated car built from old heavyweight baggage cars with a special built center section.

I have also briefly discussed this matter with my father. We both think that writing the Department of the Air Force and ask them for a copy of engineering drawings for the cars and giving them a brief description if why you want it might get you a set of plans to work from to build a model.

1) the B-52 went into wide military service in 1958 and I wonder if some publications like Popular Science or Popular Mechanics or even an aviation magazine might have had an article at the time. They have indexes or you can see old copies at the library.
