I am a newbie and was wondering why you do noe have a room for people like me?
I got an N scale Life Like set for Christmas and was wondering if anyone esle has one and could give some advice on this product whatsoever?
This is my first post and I hope I put it in the correct room.

Hello,
Welcome to the great hobby of model railroading. Life-Like in my expereince is an OK product. There is much better stuff out there but Life-Like is OK for just starting out.
as for being in the right room, I think you found it. If you have any further questions. Feel free to ask.

Thank you Challenger,
What do you or anyone else think about doing a "Lord of the Rings" theme? I know there were no train's on Middle Earth.
Maybe I should go with Harry Potter.

I think both ideas are great. One of my most admired model railroaders is John Allen. His work was largely fantasy and whimsy. Yet his work has been admired for nearly 5 decades now. So take a crack at what you dream up. There is no wrong way to prectice this hobby. Contrairy to what the rivit counters may say.
