I grew up loving trains (had a simple figure 8 track in grandparents' basement) and when I got to England as an adult, I thought it was great that trains were such a major part of transportation. Come to find out, trains were part of my family heritage. My great great great grandfather was an engineer in NH for many years. He was killed in a wreck in 1886. The main purpose for joining the forum is to find out some information about the railroad he worked for. I look forward to "meeting" other members and hopefully, I can find my answers and maybe pass on what I know.
