hi guys. My names Dean owen and i'm a design student, i'm currently undergoing the re-design of the food trolley on trains, but i'm finding trouble looking for interior dimensions of trains, i.e. the walkway etc etc. and help on this would be great. if anybody knows of sites that gives me such detail maybe?
Thank you

It would help to narrow down your field of interest. US Amtrak's car interior dimensions are going to be different from UK or continental Europe, and then there's Japan (Shinkansen or narrow gauge?), India, and a whole host of others.

Dean,
I feel your pain. My final design project in architecture school was a high-speed rail station. I didn't even get into the insides of trains because the station took the whole time.
If I were you, I would pick a particular rail car style and then look for information on it. For example, in the Pacific NW corridor, Amtrak uses both Superliners and Talgos. The Talgos are produced in Spain primarily for RENFE, and I know I have been able to find some drawings of those simply by cruising the web. The Superliner shouldn't be too difficult, either.
Anyway, if you can pick out a particular type of car as your baseline I think you will save yourself a lot of headache.
