enrailway Member # 350	posted True Story. In September of 2000 a woman was involved in a rear ending by the Southbound E&N RaiLiner. Apparently she took her pickup truck down the tracks for about a few miles when along trundles the southbound Dayliner, rear ending the truck, no one was injured and the truck was suffered only a crumpled box, the Dayliner got off with out a scratch. When asked about what she was doing on the Railway ROW she said she thought it was a driveway.

enrailway Member # 350	posted Exactly. This was on the local news that I first heard about it. What really gets me is what was running through her head when she decided to turn down the tracks, the crossingn even had the lights and barrier arm, I can't believe that this women did notice the signals. Back in 1988, there was another "Darwin Award" winning accident a man from out of town was turning at the same crossing when he stopped on the tracks. The man didn't know what the flashing lights and the ringing bell was until he heard the horn of the locomotive, however the two GP35's were running light and they were going slow enough for the man to back his car out of the way, instead the man dives out the window, a few seconds later the man's Datsun was wrapped around the pilot of a CP Rail GP35.
