New Book Examines Santa Fe Rail Mystique

2002-01-09 -- Get a healthy dose of nostalgia from a new book dedicated to the allure of passenger travel on the former Santa Fe Railway as it traversed across the American Southwest.
Santa Fe: The Chief Way, is a new paperback by New Mexico Magazine. The book features 131 full-color and 28 black-and-white photographs heralding Santa Fe streamliners -- including the Super Chief, the Chief, El Capitan and the San Francisco Chief, from the late 1930s to the early 1970s.
The cost is $24.95 and is available through New Mexico Magazine or many local bookstores. For information, call (800) 711-9525 or go online to the catalog section at www.nmmagazine.com
