Does anyone out there know the current operations and/or schedule of the BNSF Redlands Local out of San Bernardino?

Where does this branch run to?

I can't speak for operations, but its route leaves the BNSF main a few yards east of the San Bernardino depot. It winds south then east through San Bernardino (in terrible shape last I saw - 10mph limits in places) and then heads east parallel to Redlands Blvd. I believe there is at least one industry along Redlands Blvd, that still gets rail service (hopper cars-don't know the commodity). I'm not sure how far the branch is still 'active'...it has been cut back over the years. Last I saw the end of 'active track' appeared to be mid-Redlands, near the old (still standing) station, where I saw a tank-car spotted.

When I was last there the track actually extended out past Wabash Ave. (on the Redlands/Mentone border), where an old SP spur had been connected to the Santa Fe, but the tracks east of downtown were rusted and it appeared no train had been by in months/years.

The track that headed north through mentone had been cut back years ago after the pile trestle over the Santa Ana River needed repair (and it was not worth the cost)

I've seen that local only twice in recent times. Both times they were heading back towards San Berdoo where the tracks cross under the 10 Frwy. The first time I saw it was around noon. It had back to back Geeps and two covered hoppers. The second time I saw it was about two months ago, at around 8 or 9 p.m. Couldn't tell what the consist was because it was already dark.

At least that confirms the line is still active east of downtown Redlands...the I-10 passes over it near Church St.
