Does anyone know how Kingman Canyon is reached driving? Have seen many pictures of this place on videos of the ATSF (BNSF) and want to see it firsthand. It is near Kingman, AZ on the BNSF mainline. Have looked at maps of the area and cannot locate the place. Thanks.

It is immediately west of Kingman. Old Route 66 utilized the same canyon and is still available. Get off of I-40 at the westerly of the three Kingman exits and go East into Kingman about 1/4 mile + or -.
Turn right (south) and you are on old 66
and headed down the canyon. The railroad is
on your left and there are several ways to drive closer to it. The double track is divided here with the oldest construction
having the steepest grade. The newer track
is used mostly for eastward movements, its
gradient created for that purpose.
