There is yet another job on UP's Anaheim line that hasn't gotten much attention yet because of it's relative obscurity - the Buena Park Switcher (briefly mentioned in the Paramount/Bellflower thread). I finally caught this job working the industries in Buena Park and La Mirada today (a Sunday, no less) around 2:00PM. I don't know if Sunday is a normal day for them to be out switching, but the power was UP 1367, the odd looking MP15, and a very faded SP SW1500. They puttered around the industrial complex for a while, dropping a few boxcars at a warehouse on the west side of Artesia Blvd, and then coming back and coupling up to another string of boxcars and shoving backwards into Santa Fe Springs. Of interesting note, there is a crossing on the La Mirada side of Artesia (off of Industry Way) that has a set of ancient crossbucks lettered "Southern Pacific" on the post, and it's in pristine condition.

Hey 3751...
I was out there today too !!
I caught the two units idling across from the Georgia-Pacific plant with 5 or 6 Southern boxcars in tow. No sign of the crew at 11:00am'ish I noted the power as UP 1367 (MP15DC) and SP 2568 (SW1500).
One of these days we will cross paths trackside...

The Buena Park Swithcer operates Sunday through Friday. This is what I gather from what my scanner picks up from my house in Anaheim.

Yes, the Sunday job is apparently regular, as I caught the BP job again today. It looks like they start their switching between 1:30 and 2:00. They have quite a few industries to switch on both sides of Artesia Blvd. Power is still UP 1367 and SP 2568.
