The Port of Tillamook Bay (Oregon) Railroad owns two RDC-1s used in excursion service - one is operable, the other being restored. The route travels along Tillamook and Garibaldi Bays of the Pacific Ocean, and a few miles up the Salmonberry River Canyon.

The Oregon Department of Transportation purchased several RDC-1s from BC Rail and plan to use them on an excursion train (over 90 miles one way) between Portland Union Station and Astoria - at the mouth of the Columbia River into the Pacific - for the Lewis & Clark Celebration.

AND...the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the NRHS owns two demotored RDC-9s which are used in occassional excursion service.
